Charades for Kids
I’ve actually never played charades with my kids because I didn’t think they’d be able to act out the words on cards in other games. They often have phrases they wouldn’t recognize (like movies from the past) and my 4-year-old can’t read. The Dr. Seuss Charades Game is great for kids. With the picture cards it is so simple they can play it by themselves or with parents (which makes my kids get super giggly). Try acting out Horton, the elephant, or a Yink drinking Pink Ink (guess the word ‘drink’). This game is for ages 3+.
How to Play and Our Review:
The charade cards show three pictures from Dr. Seuss books. The actor gets to choose which one they want to try to act out. The opposite side of the card shows six possible pictures for the guesser to choose from. This really helped my 4-year-old make a match between the picture and the actions. It was a little too easy for my older kids so I made them guess without looking at the choice card. That made it more fair.
I really liked that this was not set up to play as teams. It was individual players acting for the player on their left. Also, you don’t earn a point but if you get the correct answer you get to roll the die and move so many spaces on the striped board. This helps the game move more quickly.

Our family had so much fun playing the Dr. Seuss™ Charades Game. It is perfect to pull out for preschool play dates and family game night.

, a Dr. Seuss Book about School and Teachers. I've owned this book as part of my Dr. Seuss collection but I'll admit I haven't read it until this past month. Dr. Seuss wrote the text but other authors/illustrators finished the pictures and put it together after Dr. Seuss passed away. It has a different look to it but the crazy rhymes are still fun and I love the school and teacher messages.
